On 30 October 2024 and 4 November 2024, a series of working meetings and information seminars with local stakeholders were held in Ruse, Ivanovo, and Borovo as part of the implementation of the project “Preparatory Activities for the Establishment of the Local Fisheries Action Group (FLAG) Ruse Municipality – Ivanovo Municipality – Borovo Municipality and the Development of a Community-Led Local Development Strategy for the 2021–2027 Programming Period.”
The project is implemented under Procedure BG14MFPR001-3.001 “Capacity Building and Preparatory Actions in Support of the Development and Future Implementation of Community-Led Local Development Strategies” within the framework of the Maritime Affairs, Fisheries and Aquaculture Programme 2021–2027.
During the meetings, participants received detailed information about the activities included in the Grant Agreement, the priorities of the Programme, and the opportunities provided by the Community-Led Local Development (CLLD) approach. They were also introduced to the process of planning, managing, and implementing the future CLLD Strategy.
The events attracted significant interest and active participation from representatives of various stakeholder groups, including fishers, local residents, and businesses. During the discussions, numerous proposals and ideas were presented, all of which will be taken into consideration during the preparation of the FLAG Strategy for the municipalities of Ruse, Ivanovo, and Borovo.
