The experts from FLAG Ruse – Ivanovo – Borovo took part in the “Taste of the Danube” festival, held on 6 June in the Stalpishte area near the village of Mechka. The event brought together enthusiasts of fish, the Danube River, and the region’s rich cultural heritage.
The festival provided an excellent opportunity to present the Association’s activities and the Local Development Strategy it implements in support of the fisheries and aquaculture sector across the three municipalities. The FLAG experts informed visitors about the planned activities, the types of projects that will be funded, who is eligible to apply, and the objectives of the Community-Led Local Development (CLLD) approach.
Many potential beneficiaries visited the information stand to share their ideas, ask questions, and discuss their expectations. The strong public interest confirmed the team’s confidence in the successful implementation of the Strategy and the achievement of its planned objectives.
This is only the beginning. The first calls for project proposals are planned to be launched in the autumn. An information campaign will also be organised to explain the application process, project selection, and project implementation.
